Born and raised in Creedmor, North
Carolina, Max spent twenty years in the navy as an Engineman.
After retiring in 2006 as a Chief Petty Officer, Max began running
fishing charters for Chesapeake Angler Magazine.
Max is a well known Virginia Master
Angler in the Tidewater Area and is also a two time winner of
the Mid Atlantic Rockfish Shootout, one of the largest annual
fishing tournaments on the East Coast.
King is the founding father of Captain
Max King's Marine in Virginia Beach, where he can take you charter
fishing or sell, service & repair your boat. Captain Max King's
Marine sells Contender, Bay Rider, Ken Craft and Sea King boats,
and some previously owned boats.
