Help the Fish Find You at Night! By Max King

Many fishermen take to the water in the fall months because the cooler weather is a welcome change from the dog days of summer heat. Plus this time of year brings many great fishing opportunities. The daylight hours are growing shorter with the end of summer, so many of the better fishing opportunities will happen at night. Looking for fish in daylight hours sometimes can be a real challenge, so looking for them at night can be an even tougher problem. With all that said, the people at Hydro Glow have come up with a great product. The Hydro Glow fishing lights have been proven in local fresh water, saltwater, and even the offshore fishing grounds. The Hydro Glow
fishing lights help the fish FIND YOU instead of you finding the fish.
This light has been part of many great fishing trips at night for my
boat and fishing friends this past year. |
|||
![]() The light is designed to vertically submerge with only the top 3 to 5 inches of the light above the water level. |
The light draws small bait fish, then the larger fish show up to see what the green light is all about. I have found that the light is great for working, tying lines and baiting hooks. It does not cause any problems for me in maintaining my night vision. It does help the fish locate you. It has been proven on my boat that while using the Hydro Glow light, chunking menhaden and using live bait, the fish seem to stay around longer. The fish make a connection that where there is green light, there is food. Hopefully the next piece of bait that the fish pick up whether live or a chunk will have your hook in the middle of it. | ||

The fishing town of Clarksville, Virginia on Kerr Lake believes in this product so much that they have installed 76 Hydro Glow fish lights on the Rt. 58 business bridge to allow anglers from around the country to fish this area (see picture at top right). So just like many other anglers across the country you might want to visit the Hydro Glow website. It will be one step closer towards some great fall fishing trips at night. |
